Southbound Yasawa Morning Service

This southbound Yasawa service is the fastest way to reach the mainland from mid-Yasawa resorts.

This is a southbound service only, with no departures available from Port Denarau.

Important: This service operates to Port Denarau only and does not provide inter island travel between Yasawa resorts.

South Sea Cats provides a fast morning connection from the mid-Yasawa region to Port Denarau. This service is ideal for guests who need to return to the mainland in time for afternoon flights or onward travel.

Modern Fast Cat Fleet

The South Sea Cruises modern catamaran fleet in Fiji is built to deliver fast, safe and comfortable island transfers.

Lynx, Puma and Jaguar are designed specifically for Fiji’s island routes.

Design: Aluminium twin-hull catamarans created by New Zealand naval architect Noah Thompson and built in Fiji.
Launch years: Lynx and Puma entered service in 2025, Jaguar joined in 2026.
Dimensions: Length 14.9 m, beam 5.2 m, shallow draft 0.63 m for easy jetty or beach landings.
Engines and speed: Twin 500 hp outboards cruising at 22–26 knots for efficient island connections.
Capacity: Up to 40 passengers with a dedicated luggage area.
Cabin layout: Open passenger cabin with forward-facing cushioned seating and wide windows for island views.
Pilot area: The captain sits in the same cabin in a slightly raised position, giving a more personal and connected travel experience.
Facilities: Shaded ventilated cabin, bow access for beach landings, stern ladders for easy boarding, top-deck seating available when anchored, drinks and light snacks on board, lifejackets beneath each seat, full safety equipment, radio communications, first-aid kit and trained crew.

Luggage and Transfers

Every ticket includes one checked bag up to 25 kg and one piece of hand luggage up to 7 kg. Additional baggage can be added for a fee. Complimentary coach transfers between selected hotels, Nadi Airport and Port Denarau are available on specified departures and can be added during booking.
