Advanced Diving Course in Fiji
This package is designed for divers who already hold an Open Water certification with any recognised agency and want to take their diving further.
Spread across 5 days and 4 nights at Mantaray Island Resort on Nanuya Balavu Island, the course covers five speciality dives alongside the required theory work.
Dive types include a deep dive, night dive, search and recovery, underwater navigation, caverns, and digital underwater photography, giving you experience across a broad range of conditions and techniques.
All dive equipment is provided, and on completion you receive your SSI Advanced Dive Certificate and photo ID.
Between dives, the resort offers some of the best snorkelling, kayaking, and other activities in the Yasawa Islands. Coach and vessel transfers, accommodation, all dive equipment, and a full day pass to Malamala Beach Club are all included.

What's included
Other activities at the resort
The course does not take up every waking hour, and there is plenty to fill the time between dives. The house reef is right off the front of the resort and is easily accessible for snorkelling at any time. Other activities available include island treks, village visits, cultural craft sessions, kayaking, paddleboarding, volleyball, and sunset tube cruising. Check the activity board each morning to see what is on that day.
Important notes
- A valid Open Water certification from any recognised dive agency is required to join this course.
- A compulsory meal plan applies at Mantaray Island Resort and is not included in the package price. It can be paid at the time of booking or settled directly with the resort on arrival.
- All divers must have medical clearance if they have previously suffered from asthma or epilepsy.
- Travel insurance that covers scuba diving is required. A copy will be requested at check-in.
- Extra nights at Mantaray Island Resort are available on request.
The dives

Together, these give you a much broader range of diving experience than the open water certification alone, and the variety of conditions around Mantaray Island Resort's house reef makes it an excellent location to work through them.

Mantaray Island Resort
Set on Nanuya Balavu Island in the Manta Ray Region of the Yasawa Islands, Mantaray Island Resort sits alongside white sand beaches, a marine reserve, and some of the most vibrant coral reefs in Fiji. The resort has a strong connection with the local village and a relaxed atmosphere that suits both those here to dive and those who simply want to unwind.
Dining is taken in the main restaurant perched above the treetops, with views across the surrounding islands. Breakfast is a continental buffet, lunches are a la carte, and dinners are three-course a la carte with specialty buffet evenings. Each afternoon, the wood-fired pizza oven opens up on the beachfront deck. Note that a compulsory meal plan applies at Mantaray Island Resort and is additional to the package price, payable at booking or directly to the resort on arrival.
Malamala Beach Club (Bonus)
Every guest receives a complimentary full day pass to Malamala Beach Club, a private island beach club located in the Mamanuca Islands. The pass covers vessel transfers from Port Denarau and coach transfers from hotels in Denarau, Wailoaloa, and Nadi. The beach club day is available on any day before or after your island package (not during). Just let the reservations team know your preferred date after booking.
